Ludwig Wittgenstein

Austrian philosopher who revolutionized philosophy twice. Early Wittgenstein's Tractatus presented picture theory of language and mystical silence. Later Wittgenstein's Investigations examined language games and ordinary language. His work influenced analytic philosophy, philosophy of mind, and logic. Wittgenstein's life combined asceticism, wealth renunciation, and philosophical intensity.
