Ganesha
Elephant-headed god of beginnings, wisdom, and removal of obstacles. Ganesha's broken tusk (used to write Mahabharata) and large belly represent imperfection and abundance. As Shiva and Parvati's son, his elephant head came from Shiva's wrath and blessing. Ganesha embodies accessible wisdom, the overcoming of obstacles, and auspicious beginnings. His vehicle, a mouse, represents the control of desires.
